The Houston Area Women’s Center held its 2016 Spring Gala One Enchanted Evening on April 29, 2016. The evening began with cocktails and silent auction followed by dinner. Khambrel Marshall presented the Welcome and Introduction of Gala Chairs. The Co-Chairs were Beth Ann Dranguet and Amy & Joe Grinstein. Sponsor and Honoree Recognition was presented by Rebecca L. White, President & CEO of Houston Area Women’s Center.

The Honorees were Alicia & Shawn Raymond – Our Community Honorees. They have a deep personal commitment to this organization. The Corporate Honoree was Verizon that delivers the promise of the digital world to our customers. Verizon is ranked number 15 on the Fortune 500 with a diverse workforce of 177,700.

Houston Area Women’s Center mission helps individuals affected by domestic and sexual violence in their efforts to move their lives forward. They provide shelter, counseling and advocacy to support them in building lives free from the effects of violence. The 2016 Houston Ballet Ball Themed:‪ From Russia with Love was recently held at the Wortham Theater Center on Saturday, February 20, 2016. This year’s gala was chaired by Gina and Dr. Devinder Bhatia and honored Jesse H. Jones II, one of the Houston Ballet’s most generous supporters.
