Houston Hospice recently welcomed Pulitzer Prize winner Gail Caldwell to speak at their 16th Annual Butterfly Luncheon on March 30, 2017, at the The Houstonian Hotel. Gail Caldwell also signed copies of her bestselling memoir, Let’s Take the Long Way Home, about her friendship with author Caroline Knapp (Drinking a Love Story) who died seven weeks after a lung cancer diagnosis at the age of 42. Proceeds from the Butterfly Luncheon help support Houston Hospice and its Butterfly Program of pediatric hospice care.
