Crafting A Legacy
On Friday, April 29, 2016, the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft held a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. titled Crafting A Legacy at the River Oaks Country Club. The Chair was Judy Nyquist, and the honoree this year was Lucinda Loya. Introduction of the honoree was presented by Catherine D. Anspon who serves as Executive Editor/Art & Features, PaperCity Magazine.
Perry Allen Price is the new Executive Director for Houston Center for Contemporary Craft. Lucinda Loya is an interior decorator and known for her innovation, impeccable taste and style for the arts and philanthropy. She has an eye for style that transcends in both her residential and commercial client commissions. She has been featured on hit TV shows as CBS’s Living Large, Law and Order, and CSI, and HGTV’s Selling NY. Lucinda is very active in the community, tireless giving of her time, talents, and treasure to a multitude of causes.
The delicious lunch contained River Oaks Country Club Salad (trio of baby greens, spun carrot, cucumber, pickled red onion, green pepper, marinated red and yellow grape tomatoes with balsamic dressing), chicken and artichokes (grilled chicken breast topped with sun-dried tomato, morels, onion, and artichokes, served with basil angel hair pasta, asparagus spears, and lemon beurre blanc), and old-fashioned strawberry shortcake.
