Missouri City–Sugar Land Chapter of Jack And Jill Of America held its 16th Biennial Beautillion
On Sunday, December 27, 2015 the Missouri City–Sugar Land Chapter of Jack And Jill Of America held its 16th Biennial Beautillion at the Marriott Sugar Land Town Square. This year’s theme was Embracing Our Legacy│Fulfilling the Dream, and the Beautillion Ball’s purpose is to inspire personal dignity and worth in our community’s Black male youth, and to introduce the young citizens to the Houston Metropolitan Community. Missouri City–Sugar Land Chapter’s current president Mrs. Donna Wise-Joseph welcomed all the guests to this wonderful occasion that introduced 26 Beau’s to celebrate their transition into manhood and recognize their achievements as future leaders in our society. The Co-Chairs were Chaun Hubbard, Tammy Lanier, and Lisa Mead that helped design this experience to further the refinement of our young men and present them to society, as they brace themselves to launch their independent pursuits of higher education and manhood. The Mistress of Ceremony – Mrs. Melinda Spaulding (News Anchor, KRIV Fox 26), and Master of Ceremony – The Honorable Sylvester Turner (Mayor-Elect, City of Houston).
The 2015 Beautillion Class of the Missouri City-Sugar Land Chapter are: Canaan Marshall Anthony, Coulson Hays Anthony, Bryce Allen Broussard, James Robert Bryant III, Derrick Joseph Cyprian, Cameron Bernard Eason, Alex Chase Fontenot, Rodney Kevin Francois II, Colby Tyler Frazier, Howard Dubois Grant, Ollie Baldwin Harris IV, Justin Avery Hodrick, Dallis Decarlus Kendrick, Ryan Joshua Marshall, Christopher Nickolas Mathis, Mason Robert Mayes, Jeremiah Aquental McCollum, Jackson Wade Odom, Marcus Wayne Rockwell II, Brennan Cole Roquemore, Kenneth James Stephens II, Bryce Edwin Terrell, Tucker Christopher Toole, Roshaan Larenz Turner, Cameron Alexander West, and Devin David Woods.
This chapter was founded forty years ago in July, 1975 known as the Chasewood-Briargate Mothers Club in Southwest Houston. Today, there are currently 88 active members, 86 children and 41 active associates.
